Why am I an agent?
After early retirement from a three-decade IT management career, Kirk transitioned his business efforts to his lifelong interest in the financial industry. He became licensed as a Stockbroker and Investment Manager, before seeing the need for quality customer guidance in the personal insurance sector. Having enrolled in Medicare himself a few years ago, he realized the multiple choices, elections and options were not adequately explained to him and his wife, leading to unsatisfactory outcomes. Kirk's goal for clients is to help them thoroughly understand their personal needs and offer plans and solutions that best work for them. As a long-time caregiver to an ailing spouse, and a user of Medicare plans himself, he knows personally the benefits of wise and reasoned choices and is committed to helping clients obtain complete satisfaction with their medical and insurance choices.
About Me
Kirk was born and raised in California, went to college at BYU, where he met and married his wife Colleen, raising their family in Utah and Seattle. After 27 years of marriage and 5 children, cancer claimed his wife, with Kirk transitioning to the unforeseen second act of his life. Blessed to be happily married 17 years to Debbie; with 9 combined children and 23 grandchildren (and counting). The outdoors is a lifelong passion, with hiking and backpacking always a pleasure. Kirk started running as a health hobby/therapy at age 50 and since then has completed 82 full and ultra marathons in 9 states and 3 continents, including 5 Boston Marathons. Additionally, several triathlons, including a full Ironman Triathlon in 2023 at age 67. Calling American Fork, Utah his home Kirk loves to serve locally and travel with his wife and family, counting 50 states and 35 countries visited so far.
